Intensive

Outpatient Program

Intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) at Altignis Health are drug rehab programs designed to help you transition back into your work, education, social, and family lives as you continue recovering from addiction. Our IOPs use a wide range of evidence-based behavioral therapies to arm you with the skills you need to stay sober and establish a healthy daily routine and lifestyle outside of an addiction treatment setting.

Our staff at Altignis Health develops customized treatment plans for all our patients in IOPs to help them ease seamlessly back into their lives as healthier, motivated, and sober individuals.

What Is an Intensive Outpatient Program?

An IOP is a 12-week drug rehab program that meets for at least three hours a day, three days a week. Every week, patients receive a number of behavioral therapies in individual and group settings. These therapies are aimed at teaching them important skills for managing stress and other triggers without turning to drugs and alcohol as coping methods. Our behavioral therapies also help patients re-establish relationships with friends, family, and other loved ones.

Many patients transition into an IOP after completing medically supervised detox and an inpatient residential rehab program. IOPs offer a lower level of care ideal for those who are motivated and ready to resume their careers, education, and family lives following a period of substance abuse. IOPs at Altignis Health give patients more freedom and flexibility than inpatient residential rehab programs while still providing high-quality care and science-based treatments that produce positive results.

Services Available With Intensive Outpatient Treatment

IOPs at Altignis Health offer many of the same services and therapies as inpatient residential rehab programs, but with IOPs, patients can live at home while receiving the same level of intensive treatment. Some patients in IOPs may still be making their way through drug detox and need ongoing medication maintenance support — especially those recovering from addiction to opioids and benzodiazepines. Medications that reduce the desire to use alcohol and opioids are also available to those who need help staying sober and on track with their treatment programs.
